The prices shown on the website are all in pounds sterling and exclude postage and packing (P&P) which is quoted separately.
How to order a ready-made, in-stock hat or cap
The sizes and prices of the ready-made, in-stock hats and caps are as stated in the website and you can order them online and pay by PayPal or credit or debit card. The appropriate postage charge will be added. Orders will be dispatched as soon as payment is received.
Occasionally the website doesn’t accept orders. If this happens, just email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I can sort it out!
How to order a made-to-measure hat or cap
To order a made-to-measure hat or cap, email me at email@example.com with the following information:
1. The style you’d like
2. The fabrics / colours you’d like
3. Your head size, or that of the person the hat or cap is for, in centimetres. To measure it, run a tape measure around the head at its widest point (about 2cm above the ears), inserting two fingers for ease – there are “How to measure your head” websites showing you how to do this.
4. Where you want the hat or cap to be sent
and we can take it from there. For made-to-order, the price will be agreed and paid before I start work on making the hat.
The price of a fabric hat or cap will be similar to the prices in the ready-made section, but will take account of the fabric(s) chosen and amount of work involved, e.g. if there is patch-working together of several fabrics. The price of a knitted hat will be within the range shown beside each design. Smaller hats are at the lower end of the price range and larger ones at the higher end – this is simply because there is more knitting in a larger than a smaller hat.
Once agreed, you can pay by direct bank transfer or via the website where you can pay by PayPal, credit or debit card. I will let you know when the hat is ready to be dispatched.
Returns and refunds
If a hat or cap isn’t right for you, send it back unworn and undamaged within 14 days of receipt. The price of the hat (but not the P&P charge) will be refunded when I have received and checked it. Make sure that the hat is returned in the same condition in which you received it, and re-package it in the same way; hats that have been worn or used, are damaged or otherwise in an un-saleable condition cannot be refunded.
Please note that you are responsible for the return, so I’d suggest you use a recorded delivery service.
The above applies to all hats made within the 53 – 62 cm size range; hats outside this range are not refundable.
